Thin-layer thickening technology for Usolskiy Potash Plant
NPO Passat will supply 21-meter diameter sludge thickeners for Eurochem's Usolskiy potash plant. The thickeners are designed to clarify the circulating master liquor and remove clayey sludge from the process with a feed capacity of 2,300 m3/hour (foam product of stage V of desliming, drains from hydro separators of stages lIl and IV of desliming). Thus thickeners will provide the client with mass concentration of suspended particles in the thickener discharge not more than 150 mg/dm3 at mass ratio of liquid and solid phase (L:S) in thickener sands not more than 2,5. The thickeners will be completed with an aerator, pump park, flocculators, automation system.
Our company will also carry out supervision of installation, commissioning and training of operating personnel.
Lamella thickeners by Passat is a modern technological solution that allows to increase the investment efficiency of enrichment plants and chemical plants due to a multiple increase in productivity in comparison with the traditional method of thickening and clarification in radial thickeners.
Thanks to this solution, our customers not only reduce the building footprint, but also reduce the number of process pipelines, shut-off and regulating valves, automation and control equipment, pumping equipment, auxiliary and load-bearing steel structures, heated and ventilated volume of the production building or the volume of heat in the plant.
The use of lamella thickeners also reduces the load and the required number of operating personnel, consumption of reagents, power consumption, and operating costs for maintenance of the equipment fleet.
NPO Passat offers a full cycle of lamella thickening and clarification technology implementation, including R&D and testing of its own pilot installation** of thin-layer thickening to confirm the technological parameters, complete delivery of thickeners with automation systems and implementation of guaranteed technological performance.
*EuroChem-Usolsk Potash Plant is a project of EuroChem Group in the Perm region of the Russian Federation to develop a potash base at the Verkhnekamsk potash deposit. Once the project is commissioned and reaches full capacity, it will produce up to 2.4 million tons of potash per year. Upon completion of the second stage of the project, the total capacity will be over 3.5 million tons per year.
