Research and Production Association «Passat» putted into operation adjustable vacuum crystallizer installation, one of the large-scale projects regarding process equipment supply. Acceptance trials of the installation were conducted within three days. The customer (Belaruskali, JSC) got the following results:
Production of coarse potassium chloride with useful component mass content in terms of K₂O at least 60% with the possibility of potassium chloride production with useful component content in terms of K₂O not less than 62% was confirmed.
The vacuum crystallizer installation provides production of 95% KCl in the amount of more than 200 t/h while the supply of the necessary liquor volume is up to 1700 m3/h.
The content of the class that is less than 0.1 mm in suspension at vacuum crystallization discharge figure up to 0.5-0.9% ( 95% KCl output) and - 0.2-0.5% ( 98% KCl output) (contract parameter is not more than 1.0%).
The mother liquor temperature after heat recovery is 75-78℃ (contract parameter is not less than 75℃).
Energy intensity of the installation equipment is 12.2 kW/t of the end products (contract parameter is 12.9 kW/t)
Specific heat consumption of the installation is 0.018 Gcal/t of product (under the terms of the contract it is not more than 0.02 Gcal/t).
The acceptance committee noted the fact of full compliance of the basic technological parameters with the terms of the contract and put into operation the vacuum crystallization installation of Processing Plant of 4 Production Unit intended for crystallization of potassium chloride from crystalline hot saturated liquors.
