Lamella thickeners
Lamellar thickeners are designed for thickening, dewatering, hydroclassification, desliming and clarification in the mining and chemical industries. The thickener is a device with packages of plates installed in the housing, which significantly increases the deposition area and the performance of the thickener.
NPO Passat lamella thickeners are used in technological processes:
- clarification of circulating liquor;
- thickening of tails;
- crystallization thickenings;
- sludge thickening (flotation);
- sludge thickening (halurgy, 100 °C);
- hydroseparation, etc.
Advantages of lamella thickeners:
- high performance (2-3 times higher than radial thickener);
- reduction of investment costs due to a smaller occupied area, reduction of the volume of SMR;
- reduction of operating costs, reduction of the fleet of pumps, pipelines, shut-off valves and their maintenance costs;
- the possibility of thermal insulation of the entire thickener, including mirrors;
- reduction of energy consumption of the technological process;
- a wide range of productivity for the initial pulp of 20-6000 m3/h;
- low consumption of flocculant;
- high solids content in the unloaded product up to 55% tv.f.;
- drain purity up to 50 mg/l.
64 radial and lamella thickeners of NPO Passat are currently working at mining and processing plants. Thickeners are made of both carbon steel and stainless steel, including superduplex, non-ferrous, clad materials and titanium.
Thickeners will be equipped with:
- foam removal system;
- deaerator;
- flocculant preparation and dosing device;
- rake lifting system;
- a set of pumping equipment, instruments, sensors, etc.;
- automation system of own production on a component base at the request of the Customer with integration into the automated control system of the enterprise.
The company offers to conduct laboratory and pilot tests by its own chemical technology department to determine the optimal parameters of the thickener, the technological process, and also provides installation supervision, start-up and output to the technological parameters of the equipment. Own pilot installation of the plate thickener is available for conducting field tests of the parameters of lamella thickening in the conditions of chemical production of the Customer.
When conducting tests on pilot installations , the following are determined:
- modes of mixing pulp with reagents;
- real lightening rates;
- sludge sticking on the plates;
- penchant for foaming;
- modes of operation of the thickener.
